Secretary General's Annual Reports

Every year, the NATO Secretary General publishes an annual report that reflects the dynamics of the security environment, covers key decisions of the Allies and monitors the activities of the NATO Alliance in the previous year. The annual report also includes details of national defense spending and the latest public opinion polls conducted across the Alliance.

"Secretary General's Annual Report 2023"

On March 14, 2024, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg presented his annual report for 2023. The annual report addresses the unprecedented level of support for Ukraine and Finland's entry into the Alliance, increasing defense investment in Europe and Canada, increasing production and strengthening cooperation with industry, increasing interoperability, by improving NATO's technological edge in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and cybernetics to 5G, hypersonics and autonomous systems. The annual report also included a survey of NATO public opinion, in which participants from Finland and Sweden took part for the first time.
