Basic documents

We bring some of the basic documents of the North Atlantic Alliance in an electronic version:

• Official texts (thematic division) - thematic overview of the most important official documents of the Alliance - documents prior to the founding of the Alliance, the Washington Treaty/declarations, resolutions, protocols, the statute of the organization and the representation of third countries, agreements on armed forces and military command, Partnership for Peace / founding documents, NATO relations with third countries, the main documents of strategic importance, including the new NATO Strategic Concept adopted at the Lisbon Summit in November 2010.
• Official texts (chronological division) - basic official documents of the Alliance in chronological order, search option
• Standardization agreements for the procedures, systems and components of the armament of the armed forces of the member states of the Alliance, known as STANAGs, is prepared by the NATO Standardization Agency in cooperation with the Conference of Directors for National Armaments and other authorities.
