The activities of UNESCO affiliated schools in Slovakia are coordinated by the UNESCO Information and Documentation Centre (IDS UNESCO) at the University Library in Bratislava in the person of the national coordinator of UNESCO affiliated schools in Slovakia. IDS UNESCO maintains dynamic communication with schools and, in addition to providing information from the ASPnet headquarters and the Secretariat of the Slovak Commission for UNESCO, implements a number of educational and awareness-raising activities aimed at bringing selected topics from the UNESCO agenda closer to the public. An important activity is, among others, the organization of the so-called Annual Meeting of Affiliated Schools (usually once a year) aimed at evaluating the year-round activities of affiliated schools, discussing visions and planned activities for the upcoming period.
