A special library and information centre of the University Library in Bratislava devoted to international affairs, security and defense with a special focus on the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
Depository library offers acces to informational publications, scientific monographs, periodicals and multimedia. It provides information about actions of NATO and preserves print versions of periodicals, yearbooks and publications published by official security and defence institution of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and European Union. For the need of professional scientific work NATO Depository Library cooperates with NATO Multimedia Library in Brussels.
Visitors to the study room have the opportunity to study documents face-to-face, as well as use specialized electronic information resources.
NATO Depository Library annually prepares informative, educational and professional events for the public - lectures, discussions, book presentations, film screenings, as well as exhibitions. Also organizes excursions for high school and university students and informs about funds and services of NATO DL as well as services of University Library.
Events are dedicated to current issues about international relations, institutions and security or describe live of significant figures or events from military history.
The biggest event is called Slovak Security Forum (Slovenské bezpečnostné fórum, SBF) which is organized on ground of University Library regularly since 2007.
